That's obvious. The Price is Right. But to make it more interesting, the losers should need to be spayed or neutered. Side: Shaq Fu

I can't believe no one has yet mentioned the general universal consensus greatest video game ever and that is the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. This is game is over9000!1!1!! times better than anything else ever made. I have personally played through it at least 15 times and will probably do it 15 more before all is said and done. It holds up even today against new fangled graphics and blu ray and all that jazz. Nothing beats blowing the dust out of your old OoT cartridge, firing up that n64 and saving Hyrule in the most epic quest ever designed. (as an aside best alternative game ever made: Pokemon Snap, that shit is mad addicting and way more fun than you originally think) Side: Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time

Example people trew out wind waker cuz of cartoon and that game was simply amesome!!!! Side: World of Warcraft

For me, the best game ever created is a very difficult choice, but if I had to pick, I would pick The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past for the SNES. It may be old, it may not have amazing graphics by today's standards, but in terms of gameplay, and replayability, I don't think anything beats it- the only games that come close for me are Super Mario World, and the Football Manager series. The Halo series. Nothing compares to the parity and level of mastery that can be achieved. In Halo, multi player is completely even and advantages have to be created by the player himself not the computer. For example in many games you can choose different characters or different weapons and gain an advantage in some areas while sacrificing it in others. This is designed so that even the less skilled player can still have fun when they occasionally come across a better player but they by chance posses an advantage over the better player in the current situation and there is nothing the better player can do to best the weaker one. In halo the starting weapons are the same, and every player has access to the same things. The skills evolve around gaining the upper hand and being able to maintain it throughout the duration of the game. There are checks and balances on everything from the weapons to the map itself, where the is no place that is safe from multiple points of entry. Every detail has been accounted for, right down to where a player can decide whether to try and finish off an opponent with a weapon and risk the opponent beating them down before they do, or they can shoot them a little and play it safe and trade beatdowns in which case both die, and the cycle starts again. Thats just a little example, i have a great understanding of Halo if anyone would like me to explain something more clearly or perhaps a different aspect. Side: Sonic Three and Knuckles
What! Down vote! (mother f---ers) Let me explain something to all of you. 1. Final Fantasy is the most dominate RPG franchise in the history or the world, and of the Universe for all we know. And there's a reason for that, and goddammit, I realize it's cool and hip to make vague RPG references to old school games to show what a "non-conformist" gamer I really am. 2. but the fact of the matter is, almost every single Final Fantasy game has a plot so intricate that if it were a fantasy novel or Pixar movie made by the script (as apposed to the lame remakes they've attempted) it would be a best seller in the genre. So go ahead, hate on the the top of the food chain, while every single game they make continues to outsell all but the most mindless of gore-first-person shooter legal snuff bs these future serial killers are playing. I'll take a good story intertwined with the most advanced play systems available over that garbage any day. oh yeah, Suikoden makes good stuff too, you gonna downvote that? ;) Side: Final Fantasy
Play a real RPG series. The thing that pisses me off most about people who hail Final Fantasy games as the king is that they seem to think that it's the 'final fantasy' and the last bastion of RPGs. My goodness. Some of the Shin Megami Tensei games will literally mindrape you. Plus they're fun to play. So it's a bonus. Side: World of Warcraft
